Search Queries
A query typed into a search tool is sent to the third-party company that operates that tool. The provider processes the terms and supplies its results. Brooke County Criminal History does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to the site may be kept long enough to answer and manage the communication. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
This site does not build, maintain, or sell a database of personal criminal-history records. It publishes general directions to Brooke County custodians, including the sheriff, courts, West Virginia State Police Criminal Identification Bureau, WVDCR, and the West Virginia State Police Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own privacy terms govern any information entered into those tools, including retention and sharing. Review the provider's policy before submitting a query because this site does not control the provider's data practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Brooke County offices, West Virginia courts and agencies, legal resources, advertisers, or search providers. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy applies. Some advertising partners may use their own systems to track activity across websites for targeted advertising.
